SUSAN HORNER'S WILL

In the name of god Amen- I, Susan Horner of the borough of Conemaugh, County of Cambria, and state of Pennsylvania, being in sound and deipering [sic] mind, memory and understanding, do make publish and declare this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and declaring void any will by me heretofore made.

I demise that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid and as to any other estate real or personal I demise that the same may be of as follows,

Item, I will, demise and bequeath, to the children of my son Daniel W. Goughnour, to wit Benjamin F. George W. Emma Jane, Alice, Charles G. Lewis C. and Thomas J. and to my son Walter S. McGill and to my daughters Mary Zimmerman and Jane Holland, share and share alike all that certain piece or parcel of land situate in Conemaugh township, Cambria County, containing about eight acres new land out in lots, and adjoining land of Jacob Fronheiser and George Messenger, and being property inherited by me from my father’s estate that is to say my will and demise in that the same shall be divided into tour equal parts in value, one of which shall go to the above named children of my son Daniel and one to each of my above named sons and daughters or their heirs subject never the less to the following change where as I have advanced to my son-in-law Charles Zimmerman the sum of one hundred and fifteen dollars I will demise that the said sum one hundred and fifteen dollars shall be charged upon the share of Mary Zimmerman, so that she shall account to my estate for the sum.

Item, I will demise and bequeath to the aforesaid children of my son Daniel and the said Walter S.McGill, Jane Holland and Mary Zimmerman, in equal parts share and share alike all the rest and residue of my estate, real, personal and mixed, all the children of my said son Daniel to receive together and jointly an equal share with each of the others named.

I hereby make, constitute and appoint Ino [sic]. P. Linton executor of this my last will and testament

Witness my hand and seal this 26th day of May a.d 1875. signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Susan Horner as and for her last will and testament, in our presence, who in the presence of said testates and of each other, and at the request of said testator have hereunto [ ]

Before me [signed] John H. Brown Register of the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said county, personally came [signed] Samuel Brown and [signed] Samuel Lenhart the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Will who being duly sworn according to law do { }depose and say, that they were present and saw and heard [written] Susan Horner the within named testator, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for her last Will and Testament, and at the time of doing she was of sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.
